The Main Course Class Description:
This is our intermediate production class. Participants must have completed FAVA's Video Kitchen course, or have proven equivalent experience (at the discretion of FAVA).
You'll begin this class having a basic knowledge of production and editing. You'll shoot and edit your own short, on film or video. You'll choose, with the guidance of the instructors, whether to shoot on the SR3, Arri III, HVX, RED or EPIC. You'll learn budgeting, scheduling, advanced camera and production technique, advanced post-production workflow including sound mix and color correction. Dramatiac, documentary, or experimental projects are welcome and encouraged. All the necessary FAVA gear rentals are included in the class price, excluding film costs if you choose to shoot on film. You couldn't rent the gear to make your movie for less than the price of this whole class!
Class Payment and Cancellation Policy:
Your enrollment in any class is not guaranteed until payment is received. Classes must be paid for at least one week before the first class. You may cancel your enrollment in a class one week before the first class without charge. Cancellations made less than a week before the first class will be refunded the full amount less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after the first class will be refunded the tuition less a $50 cancellation fee and the appropriate portion of the total tuition for however many classes you attended. There will be no reimbursements after the second class. All classes are subject to cancellation if there are insufficient registered participants. We will notify you regarding cancellation at least on week before the first class. If we cancel the class, you are entitled to a full refund or you may transfer to another scheduled class, space permitting.
